My Younger Self

When I close my eyes, I see a child. Scared, cornered at one side of the room. Bruises on her body cried more than her eyes, Pain cleaved the knife through her soul, Laughing side by side was her mole, Heart sinking deep, "deeper"! A familiar pain it was, wrapped in courage. Visions being blurred. On the shattered broken glass, All I could see was my reflections So, I forced my eyes to open, "Wide open"!
